Collective Impact Model “backbone support” lead for more than 70 nonprofits advocating for beneficiary needs in public benefits technology. Between 2017-2023, co-created and led a strategic vision for advocate engagement in the development of a brand new public benefits website for all 58 California counties.
Identified relevant partners as subject matter experts and advocacy partners. Coordinated diverse visions towards shared priorities. Led written and verbal communication and advocacy strategies to local and state government entities, including public comment, policy memos, and issue campaigns.
Successfully advocated for integration of beneficiaries and community based organizations in User Centered Design processes to improve outcomes. Successfully identified hundreds of defects and enhancements to improve access for beneficiaries to public benefits programs.
Testified in California legislature subcommittee hearings to gain support for meaningful inclusion of advocates and beneficiaries in design decisions.
Secured $200k in state funds for equitable compensation for beneficiary engagement.

Clark College, Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (July 2021-Present)
Project manager for annual Northwest Regional Equity Conference. Created project scope, evolved project development approaches and implementation of new tools, coordinated interpreting services, graphic designer and other support partners, integrated sponsor requirements, developed annual summary reports of project successes. Increased participation by 43% over three years.

Southwest Washington Equity Coalition (Dec 2020-March 2022)

Project Manager and Operations Support for the 12-month Advancing Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Teach-In Series. Developed and managed ticketing processes, set up virtual technology, coordinated graphic designers, interpreting services, and other support partners, led operations communications with keynote speakers, developed final summary report of project successes. Reached more than 600 unique community members and engaged multiple leaders from the local community to present.

Led the process to build out the Southwest Washington Equity Coalition operations structure (board manual, employee handbook, and formalizing their status as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit) (May 2022-May 2023)

Led grant writing for the Southwest Washington Equity Coalition to secure $100,000 in state funding for community programs (2024)

Executive Director for an anti-hunger policy organization (2012-2015)
Increased funds raised by 30% and grew paid staff positions from three to six.
Oversaw publication of multiple data-driven reports that secured new program funding, led to the introduction of federal legislation, helped partner organizations refocus their work, and prompted state-level best practice implementation.
Renegotiated a federal contract with a dozen subcontractors and increased funding by 119%.
Acted as a regional and organizational spokesperson to media (20+ print, television and radio stories).
